I have traveled to New York City a few times in the past for bachelorette parties, weekend getaways and once as a graduation gift from my grandmother. All the vacations were memorable and electrified by the energy that is quite unique to New York.
This trip was extremely short but still as inspiring and fulfilling as the rest. My fiance was attending a work conference so I tagged along. The hotel was a block from Times Square which wouldn’t have been my first choice but hey, it was a free place to stay, and the view wasn’t half bad.
MAKING THE MOST OF MY ONE DAY IN THE CITY
First things first, coffee. I looked on the map for nearby coffee shops and of course there were about 10 to choose from. I settled on a latte from Blue Bottle Coffee then headed for breakfast at Bagel Belly in East Village. I hit up Milk Bar and Butter Lane. A day full of carbs and cab rides.
i spent most of the day traveling around the city and walking more than I have ever in one day. When Eric was finished with the conference and before his dinner we were able to catch up at Bareburger and some beer at Beer Culture.
As Eric heads to a work dinner I was able to score a few drinks with him before left to my own devices for the evening. I chose that ordering to-go was the best idea since it was rainy and cold, plus I had walked 4 blocks in the wrong direction so I was over it, ha.
