As you might have noticed a theme around some of my recipes, lots of things are smoked by my husband. We love spending time in the kitchen and any chance he gets to be outside grilling or smoking something, it’s a happy ingredient to our meals :)
1 28 oz can tomato sauce
1 16 oz can garbonzo beans
1 16 oz can dark red kidney beans
1 16 oz can pinto beans
1 sweet onion, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 large tomato, chopped
1 tablespoon cumin
2 tablespoons medium chili powder
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Preheat smoker to 225 degrees.
In a single layer on a wire rack, add garbanzo beans, kidney beans and pinto beans. Smoke for 15 minutes or until the beans have cracked.
Add all ingredients to crockpot and cook for 2 hours on medium.
Serve with shredded cheese, biscuits or cornbread.
